BERKELEY, Calif. — NC State and Wake Forest take ACC volleyball on the road to California this weekend, with both North Carolina programs visiting Haas Pavilion against the Golden Bears in consecutive matches.
Cal will welcome both NC State (12-5) and Wake Forest (8-9) to Haas Pavilion this weekend. Date and Time: Friday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. PT against the Wolfpack, with Date and Time: Sunday, Oct. 18, at 1 p.m. PT against the Demon Deacons.
Wake Forests schedule lists a trip at California, shown as Oct 18 followed by a 4 p.m. tip, aligning with the 1 p.m. Pacific tip on ACCNX. The Deacons also visit Stanford on Oct. 16 before the Cal match, then return east for later ACC dates, including a trip to NC State on the Deacons calendar.
The California Golden Bears (13-4) are back home after a road trip, losing 3-1 to No. 3 Louisville and sweeping the Fighting Irish 3-0. Cal was the first ACC team to take a set from Louisville this season and looks to keep rolling at Haas Pavilion.
NC State enters at 12-5 and Wake Forest at 8-9 as both try to bank West Coast results before later ACC dates. The Wolfpack return home later in October for additional conference play after the California trip.
The weekend offers two measuring sticks for North Carolinas ACC volleyball programs against a Cal team that has already shown it can steal sets from ranked competition and close out conference matches in Berkeley against visiting East Coast sides looking for early ACC road wins on the West Coast swing before November league play accelerates further now.
