Wisconsin Dells Welcomes New Resort Set to Open in 2026

Wisconsin Dells, a well-known tourist destination in central Wisconsin, is preparing for the addition of a new resort, Dellshire Resort, which is expected to open to guests by Spring 2026. This development marks the first new resort in the area in several decades, reflecting ongoing growth in the region’s hospitality industry.

Construction Milestone Reached

The construction site, located on 48 acres at 2255-2325 Wisconsin Dells Parkway, recently celebrated a key milestone with a topping off ceremony. This event signifies the completion of the structure’s framework, bringing the project closer to its scheduled opening date. The development is managed by Kraemer Brothers, a construction firm based in Plain, Wisconsin.

Project Details and Features

Uphoff Ventures, a Virginia-based investment and development company, is leading the project, with JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group overseeing the construction financing. Funding was secured through a combination of a private lender and a commercial property assessed clean energy (C-PACE) lender.

The resort will feature 208 rooms, including nine suites, designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers. It will include a four-story luxury-themed hotel alongside various amenities to enhance guest experience.

Guests will enjoy six pools, both indoor and outdoor, along with a large family entertainment center spanning 9,000 square feet. An amusement rides area will be incorporated, offering attractions suitable for families and thrill-seekers alike.

Unique Attractions and Dining Options

One notable feature is a 60-foot fire-breathing dragon sculpture, serving as a visual centerpiece. Additionally, the resort will offer an augmented reality attraction, providing an innovative entertainment experience.

Guests can dine at two on-site restaurants with a combined seating capacity of 350 seats, complemented by bars, retail shops, and a meeting space for up to 280 guests, enhancing the resort’s appeal for events and conferences.

Additional Facilities and Natural Features

A tree canopy walk will provide visitors with scenic views of the surrounding area. The resort’s location offers proximity to popular attractions within Wisconsin Dells, a city dubbed the “Waterpark Capital of the World,” which attracts about 5.5 million visitors annually.

Moreover, its strategic position near major cities like Chicago and Minneapolis is expected to generate consistent visitor traffic, boosting regional tourism and economic activity.

Expected Completion and Impact

The construction is aimed to be completed during the second quarter of 2026. When operational, <Dellshire Resort> is anticipated to fill a market niche for family-oriented accommodations and offer a diverse range of leisure amenities that support both personal and corporate events, thereby contributing to the area’s tourism industry.

Overall, the new resort represents a significant investment in Wisconsin Dells’ tourism infrastructure, promising to attract visitors from across the United States and provide a modern, family-friendly destination in one of the country’s most popular vacation spots.
