RALEIGH, N.C. — No. 25 NC State is back on its home floor in Raleigh on Wednesday, when the Wolfpack women host Campbell at 6 p.m. just two days after opening the season.

NC State rolled past Wofford 80-50 on Monday. Zoe Brooks led the way with 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting, and Ky’She Lunan set a career high with 21, hitting five 3-pointers. Khamil Pierre added 15 points and 11 rebounds. NC State was ahead 25-7 once the first quarter ended and was up 44-16 at the half while holding the Terriers to 27% shooting for the game.

The win was NC State’s fifth straight in a season opener and its 13th in the last 14 seasons, all under Wes Moore, now in his 14th year with a 323-106 record in Raleigh. Brooks and Pierre were both picked to the All-ACC Preseason Team again, and transfers Desiree Wooten from Colorado and Khady Leye from Auburn made their first starts Monday.

Campbell comes in at 0-1 after a 62-47 home loss to Austin Peay. Jasmine Felton, a Preseason All-CAA second-team pick, had 20 points and 11 rebounds in that game. The Camels are in their first season under coach Ali Jaques and were picked 12th in the Coastal Athletic Association. Last season Campbell went 20-12, finished 13-5 in league play and earned the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. NC State, which returns six players from last year, was picked fifth in the ACC and opened the year at No. 25 for the eighth time in nine seasons.

This will be only the third meeting between the programs and the first since 1978, when NC State won 98-52 at home. After Wednesday, the Wolfpack face No. 14 Kentucky on Sunday at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.
